- Describe how sensing is used in your game.
- Describe how keyboard keys are used in your game.
- Describe how you collect and gather data (score) in your game.
Answers:
- From the videos I learned how to make a game. I learned what a conditional statement was and how it worked. I also learned how to move a sprite around using keyboard keys.
- In my game, the random functions are used with Tera. She moves around randomly unlike the other bad guys (ghouls). When shot she gives you 5 points. But if she touches your spaceship you lose.
- Conditional statements are used in my game in order to make all the sprites move. I used mostly the “if [blank] then [blank]” statement. It helped me let me move the spaceship with my arrow keys, play sounds, let the ball move around and kill the bad guys, let the bad guys move around and change the score.
- Sensing is used in my game for when I have keys that you press that cause something to happen. It is also used for when the bad guys touch the spaceship everything stops and then game over. It also lets the ball that the spaceship shoots follow him around.
- Keyboard keys are used in my game to move the spaceship around and to shoot. If you press the arrow keys, the ship moves up, down, left and right. If you press “a” or “d” the ship turns 15 degrees left or 15 degrees right. When you press space bar it shoots.
- In my game in order to collect data (score points) is by shooting the bad guys. When you shoot one of the ghouls you get 1 point. If you shoot Tera you get 5 points. If Tera or any ghoul touches you you lose your points and have to start all over again.
